After you sign-up with us, our SLA with Amazon allows us to retrieve your data after 72 hours. We use Amazon’s API to retrieve data, and they offer 72 hours SLA*. Below is a snippet of our correspondence with the Amazon API team:

“Our SLA* on performance metric is 24h.
This means we may share up to date clicks, costs or impressions until after 24 hours.

Furthermore, our SLA* on sales data is 72 hours.
This means we may share up to date sales data until after 72 hours.”

*A service level agreement (SLA) is a contract between a service provider (in this case Amazon) and the end user (Zon.Tools) that defines the level of service expected from the service provider. SLAs are output-based in that their purpose is specifically to define what the end user will receive.

But it is safe to conclude that generally, your Amazon data is made available much earlier than the prescribed 72 hours for sales, and 24 hours for other than sales. Also, data is updated regularly after the initial import, as Zon.Tools requests API updates 10 times per day. And we also, we run rules four times a day, on any new data that Amazon makes available to us.

Here are several reminders on your Amazon data:

  • After you sign-up with us for the first time, the data that Amazon will make available is only the previous 60 days
But this is hinged on the size of your Amazon advertising account. For accounts that are fairly large and mature, this waiting time can take up to three days when all your data has been imported.
  • After logging into Zon.Tools and analyzing PPC data on your dashboard for the first time, you will see data taken from the last 1 to 3 days are not good to look at, for any conversion window. So, we suggest that for greater accuracy, do analyze your data at least after a week old. If you skip the last week (to reduce data fluctuation) and look at 7-day windows, it should precisely match with what you see on Seller Central.
  • You might notice that sometimes the Search Term reports are not matching upper-levels stats.  This is so, as Amazon does not send all search terms data through the API anymore.  Amazon randomly filters out:
           –  search terms without any clicks
           –  search terms with low impressions
